BBC Radio 2 presenter Vernon Kay has issued an apology after a mistake live on-air was flagged by observant listeners tuning into the show on Wednesday.
During the programme's Ten To The Top quiz, Vernon, 50, was impressed by a listener named Steve, who smashed through a number of music questions and managed to score 18 points.
As part of the questions, he was asked to name the title of The Supremes song that was covered by Kim Wilde. He then mistakenly proceeded to play the hit If I Can't Have You, instead of You Keep Me Hangin’ On, but thankfully for Steve, he answered it correctly.
Despite his impressive efforts however, the listener missed out on winning the smart speaker to another listener who gained more points.
