Things took a slightly awkward turn on Monday when This Morning star Dermot O'Leary broke a vase live on the show. However, little did Alison Hammond know, the whole situation was set up as a prank for April Fools Day.
Speaking to a woman called Vanessa, she spun a story about a vase she had bought for £1.50 at a car boot which was later valued at £30,000 on Antiques Roadshow.
Learning that there were only two of these in the world, Alison was blown away by how rare the item was. Calling the show's regular pawnbroker Dan Hatfield, who was also in on the prank, he told the presenters he wanted to be there in person to see the vase for himself.
While he was speaking, Alison kept pulling Dermot away from the item telling him not to get too close. After speaking to Dan, Dermot said: "The thing is Al-", although when he turned he knocked the vase off its plinth.
