A 'mini-heatwave' is on the way, according to reports, with temperatures set to soar past the 20C. Weather maps have taken on a vibrant orange hue, indicating a warm spell, according to one forecaster.
According to WX Charts, from April 26, the country is expected to see temperatures briefly pass 20C. The UK's southern regions and eastern coastline are expected to be particularly pleasant The Met Office forecasts mostly dry conditions with sunny spells on Saturday (April 2).

Some areas could see 'very warm' conditions at times. A Met Office spokesperson added: "The wind will probably therefore predominantly come from a northerly or easterly direction, so temperatures at least in the east are likely to remain around or a little below average, with any warmer conditions generally further west and with the sun quite strong, it could feel very warm at times. "There should be a reasonable amount of dry weather around, especially in the north and west, but some rain or showers are likely at times, most-likely in the south and east, but amounts are expected to be modest." BBC Weather forecasts period of uncertainty for the upcoming week, from April 22 to April 28, suggesting: "The next week remains uncertain but there are some signs that high pressure to the west or north of the UK is holding, which could lead to calmer and drier weather, particularly in the north and west.
