A major road in Oldham will be closed overnight for two weeks from next Monday, the council have announced. Motorists will not be able to use Oldham Way between 8pm and 5am from Monday, July 15.
A council spokesperson said: "Oldham Way will be closed overnight both ways for 14 nights from Mon, July 15, 8pm-5am, between Manchester St roundabout and Prince St. "Surveys and drainage checks, along with street lighting maintenance, will be carried out.

The roads will be open as normal during the day. But drivers will need to divert through town via Emmott Way at night, causing minor delays.
