While far from horror classics, The Strangers and its sequel Prey at Night are well regarded entries into the genre, complete with a trio of creepy masked killers.

The decision to reboot the franchise with not just one but three movies seems quite bizarre but here we are with the start of a new trilogy.

The plot is virtually a retread of the original flick, with couple Maya (Madelaine Petsch) and Jeff (Ryan Brown) being terrorised by the titular antagonists at a remote cabin.
