Two North West hotels near Greater Manchester officially named among best in UK

The annual awards are given out to 12 hotels, inns and B&BS which are deemed outstanding in their respective categories.
Inspired by the Swiss hotelier César Ritz, the awards recognise the creme de la creme in hospitality. The Good Hotel Guide claims to be the only independent hotel guide in the UK and has been inspecting hotels for 45 years.
This year, two hotels in the North West have scooped a César Award. Hazelbank in the Lake District has been named the Best Hotel in the North of England while The Inn at Whitewell in Lancashire was named Best Pub with Rooms.
