Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lynn Lopez (born July 24, 1969), also known by her nickname J.Lo, is an American actress, singer, dancer, fashion designer, producer and businesswoman. In 1991, Lopez began appearing as a Fly Girl dancer on In Living Color, where she remained a regular until she decided to pursue an acting career in 1993. For her first leading role in the 1997 Selena biopic of the same name, Lopez received a Golden Globe nomination and became the first Latin actress to earn over US$1 million for a film. A pair of heroic Lanarkshire firefighters who tragically died in an explosion nearly 60 years ago have been honoured.Stanley McIntosh MBE, aged 48, and Station Officer Joseph Calderwood, 58, were visiting retained fire stations when a blaze broke out at the nearby paint store of Colville’s Mossend steelworks, in Bellshill.The duo entered the store to fight the fire, but a violent explosion led to the “instant” death of McIntosh and left Calderwood with injuries that he would succumb from a week later, on January 14.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
