The verdict was determined 29 hours after the New York jury of 12 – seven men and five women – began deliberating on 34 felony counts against Trump after five weeks of testimony from 22 witnesses and eight hours of closing arguments.
There were roughly nine hours of deliberation. He has been found guilty all 34 counts of falsifying business records. Keep reading to find out more… Trump was arrested in April of last year and charged with 34 felony counts, including a felony charge of falsifying business records related to hush money payment made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, with whom he allegedly had sexual encounters in 2006, via TVLine. How much jail time does he face? The minimum jail sentence for falsifying business records in the first degree is zero, “so Trump could receive probation or conditional discharge, a sentence of no jail or up to four years for each offense. Trump would likely be ordered to serve the prison time concurrently for each count, so up to four years, total,” via CBS News.
Most legal scholars do not believe that jail will be the outcome, TheWrap reports. He is set to be sentenced on Thursday, July 11 at 10 a.m.
