Tributes paid to 'besotted' Manchester City fan found dead in a park

Tributes have been paid a well-known Manchester City fan who was found dead in a park after he had been reported missing. Police found Chris Drysdale's body in Plant Hill Park in Blackley on September 6 shortly after he had been reporting missing -the discovery prompted an outpouring of tributes to Chris, who was known affectionately as 'Dryer'.

On Saturday, friends gathered at the park to remember Chris and pin flowers and City shirts - with tributes and messages of support written across them - to the railings.

His wife Michelle posted a moving tribute on Facebook, saying: "I don't even know where to begin but thank you every single person who was out yesterday looking for Chris....If he only knew how much he was loved." She added: "If love could have saved him he would be around forever.
