The 2023 Tony Awards will air as planned on June 11, but changes are going to be made to the show amid the Writes Guild of America strike.

It was previously reported that the show would need to be postponed after the WGA denied a waiver to the Tony Awards Productions.

The organization requested a waiver to move forward with the planned ceremony and not have picketers at the show. The waiver was denied, but after an appeal, the WGA has agreed to not picket the event, though a waiver is not being provided.
