Three children facing 'life alone' as doting mum dies suddenly on New Year's Eve

A doting mum has left behind three children after she died unexpectedly on New Year's Eve. Tragic Claire Harrison, 48, passed away with her heartbroken children, Connaugh, Ewan and Paige who she 'adored', at her bedside following a "quick and unexpected" illness at Liverpool Royal Hospital on December 31.

The Merseyside mum originally suspected "something wasn't right" when she discovered polyps - which are small tissue growths and went to the doctor.

The growths were removed without issue and Claire was sent home with a coil in and a stent for her kidneys, reports the Liverpool Echo.

However, just a week later the mum-of-three began feeling really unwell and when she returned to hospital medics found an infection which quickly led to her
