Thornhill racer Ross Wylie finishes second in Porsche Carrera Cup Pro-Am Championship

Ross Wylie has finished second in the Porsche Carrera Cup Pro-Am Championship. The Thornhill racer rounded off the campaign with second and third in the final two races at Brands Hatch over the weekend.

Over the course of the season, the 32-year-old claimed six wins in his class and narrowly missed out on the class pole for the first race at Brands Hatch.

He converted that to second in a shortened race, leaving him 11 points behind the class leader. However, after being pushed wide on the opening lap of the finale, he dropped to third in his Glenturret Porsche 911 – which is where he finished.

Wylie said: “It was a good weekend. I honestly couldn’t have done anymore – I pushed until the very end in the hope of snatching the title but it wasn’t to be.
