Louis Leterrier is opening up about The Incredible Hulk movie sequel that never was. In a new interview, the director of the 2008 movie, which starred Edward Norton in the title role, spoke about the plans for the movie that was scrapped before the character was integrated into The Avengers just a few years later. Keep reading to find out more… Speaking to ComicBook.com, Louis revealed that there was a “lot of good stuff” in the works. “There was like Grey Hulk, Red Hulks – there was a lot of good stuff that we were planning,” he shared. “Hulk is a complex character within the Marvel Universe.” He adds, “You want the primeval Hulk… the rage Hulk.
And then when you go Grey Hulk and Smart Hulk you lose that a little bit and you get a little bit more kiddish with it.” While Mark Ruffalo did take over the role in official MCU, Louis says that his plans were much different. “That was the fun of where I was in my movie, with the access to consciousness and all that stuff.
That was really fun. And that’s what I was aiming to do,” he says. “But take my time with it. Because there’s so many characters they want it all fast [laughs].
I like She-Hulk, but then you know, yoga between Hulk and… I was like ‘Okay! yeah, we’re very far from my Hulk.’” Eric Bana also played The Hulk in 2003 movie.
