Teenagers 'burst into man's house' before stabbing as parents picked up children

A group of teenage boys 'burst into a man's house' before a horror stabbing incident in Irlam on Wednesday afternoon (September 25), the M.E.N understands Parents were picking up their children from two nearby primary schools, Moss Valley and St Joseph the Worker, when the violent scenes unfolded.

Police raced to the scene with a large cordon being put in place on Hawk Road at around 2.30pm. Horrified parents watched on as emergency services swarmed the area just before school finishing time. One of them was armed with the knife. Two were taken into custody whilst two were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries.

As of Thursday morning (September 26), one suspect, who received stab wounds, remained at hospital under police guard ahead of being interviewed.
