A Scots family has been left devastated after an 18-year-old 'talented footballer' died suddenly.Liam Stevenson, from Drumchapel in Glasgow, passed away on Tuesday, February 27.

His family and friends remember him as a 'talented footballer' with a 'heart of pure gold'. They hope that there will be a minute of applause at Ibrox during the Rangers game against Motherwell on Saturday, March 2, to honour the big Rangers fan.Petrice Massey, Liam's mum, is heartbroken and says her life is changed forever.

Speaking to Glasgow Live, she said: "My only child has broke my heart into a million pieces and my life will never be the same." Liam's aunty, Paige Massey, said: "He was a talented footballer who was loved by everyone.""Anyone he met he didn't pass without stopping, he had the biggest heart with the most beautiful smile and he will be missed dearly by his mum, dad, Nana, papa, granny, grandad, aunties, uncles, cousins and all his friends."Paige shared the sad news about her nephew on Facebook, saying "Thank you for making me an aunty at the age of 11 and giving me the best memories and laughs for 18 short years."You were some boy with the biggest personality and heart of pure gold and I will cherish all the daft pictures and videos you hated me taking forever.

Aunty Paigey loved you all of your life and I will love you till the end of mine."My heart is so broken in a way I didn't think was possible.
