As The Post previously reported, Benevides, 23, suffered cardiac arrest while waiting for the “Lavender Haze” singer to perform in Rio de Janeiro.
According to Brazilian newspaper Folha de S.Paulo, paramedics “resuscitated [Benevides] at the stadium for about 40 minutes” but suffered a second cardiac arrest while en route to the hospital. “I can’t believe I’m writing these words but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show,” Swift later wrote on Instagram. “I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this.”The “Anti-Hero” songstress wrote that she had “very little information” on Benevides “other than the fact that she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young.”“I’m not going to be able to speak about this from the stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it,” the “Lover” singer continued. “I want to say now I feel this loss deeply and my broken heart goes out to her family and friends.
