A taxi driver who raped a woman he was called to collect and take home has been jailed. Dediki Mosi, 37, was branded a 'sexual predator' by police as he starts a jail sentence.
The woman, 29 at the time, called a taxi to take her home from a friend's house after a night out, but Mosi assaulted and raped her inside his car after collecting her.
The detective who led the investigation called his crimes 'monstrous' and welcoming his jail sentence, said 'the streets are a safer place for women without him'.
Mosi, of Aldercroft Avenue in Breightmet, Bolton, was sentenced by a judge at Manchester Crown Court on Friday (August 30) to 10 years after he was found guilty by a jury after trial of rape, sexual assault and sexual assault by penetration.
