Strictly's Amanda Abbington 'death threat' being investigated by police

Police are investigating an alleged death threat sent to former Strictly Come Dancing star Amanda Abbington. The Sun revealed that the star received an email threatening she would "die on stage" unless she withdrew her complaint about dancer Giovanni Pernice, her former partner on Strictly Come Dancing 2023.

Currently, Amanda is performing in When It Happens To You at the Park Theatre in Finsbury Park. Police were called to a theatre in the area on Friday afternoon, according to reports.The Metropolitan Police issued a statement to the PA news agency: "Police were called at around 4pm on Friday August 2 by a staff member at a theatre in Finsbury Park following receipt of an alleged malicious communication.There have been no arrests, inquiries are ongoing." has reached out to Amanda Abbington's representatives for comment. After leaving the BBC One show, Abbington lodged a formal complaint about Pernice's teaching methods, citing "medical" and "personal" reasons at the time.
