Strictly Come Dancing 'signs up first ever Love Island star' for hit BBC show

Zara McDermott, who appeared on series four of the ITV dating show in 2018, has been holding talks with the BBC competition show for 'weeks', according to MailOnline.The move is in hope to attract a younger audience to watch the show and give her the opportunity to further her career with the broadcaster, reports the publication.
Zara has managed to create fame in her own right away from Love Island, including starring on The X Factor: Celebrity in 2019 and going on to appear in E4's Made In Chelsea alongside boyfriend Sam Thompson.
It also wouldn't be the first time she has worked with the BBC, after creating hard-hitting documentaries surrounding revenge porn, disordered eating and rape culture with the broadcaster. "Zara is the perfect signing for Strictly, not only is she beautiful and glamorous but she is hardworking and will take being on the show very seriously," a source told MailOnline.
