Tess Daly has been met with a divided response from fans after revealing some major personal news. The Strictly Come Dancing host couldn't have looked prouder as she accepted an honorary doctorate.

Presenter Tess could be seen sporting her graduation robe and doctoral tudor bonnet as she attended the Univerity of Bolton ceremony on Thursday (July 13).

The 52-year-old looked delighted as she was helped getting on her red and yellow gown over her all-white outfit which consisted of a silky top, blazer and matching trousers.

Tess, who is married to Bolton-born BBC Radio 2 star Vernon Kay, was also seen shaking the hand of the university's Vice Chancellor and posing in front of the graduation board like many of the students will have been doing on the day themselves.
