Storm Isha 'danger to life' warning as amber alert issued for the weekend

A rare Amber weather warning has today been issued by the Met Office which could affect parts of Ayrshire this weekend.High winds of up to 80mph are expected to batter much of the country going into Sunday night, which could cause disruption on the roads, rail and seas.Yellow warnings for heavy rain are already in place.However, with Storm Isha heading to these shores, the Met Office is warning the public to be prepared - and they said that disruption to travel and utilities is “likely” and 'potential danger to life' could be caused by crashing waves.High winds are expected to arrive around 6pm on Sunday and remain until 9am the following day.A spokesperson said: “Storm Isha will bring a spell of very strong winds during Sunday evening into Monday.
