Defiant Stirling Albion boss Darren Young urged his players to “put things right” and save their League One skins after slipping to a damaging 2-1 first leg defeat at Dumbarton on Tuesday night.Tuesday’s defeat puts the Binos right up against it for tomorrow’s (Saturday) second leg at Forthbank, with Tony Wallace’s penalty seven minutes from time putting the Sons in the driving seat.It was a tight contest where the fairest result was probably a draw, but the travelling support was sent back up the road to lick their wounds after watching Stirling fail to close out a result in the final moments.

They will be hoping to marshal the strength of a decent home record to overturn their deficit — the Binos having gained almost two-thirds of their points in the league at Forthbank.Frustrated Stirling gaffer Young said: “It was a pretty scrappy game first half, we were maybe slightly the better team but we lose a poor goal, a good cross from them and they have the man over, we don’t match the runner.“We got back into the game quickly and had a few wee half-chances, but I think the draw would’ve been a fair result.“It looked like the game was just petering out there and we made a few subs but at the same time, we’ve been losing soft goals all season and it’s another two tonight which is really disappointing.
