The visitor said their experience had been ruined in the "nice little place", giving the eatery one star, and three stars for food, service and atmosphere, reports Lancs Live.
She then went on to say she had been charged £9 for four "TINY thin slithers of rock hard bread" that came with their soups.
She also branded the owner "just rude" after an alleged unpleasant interaction. The review ended with: "He told me he doesn't care and for me to put a bad review on here, so here it is."The owners of The Shambles have since hit back at the customer's complaints and claimed they seemed "very happy" in the cafe and had been given a menu explaining the pricing for toasted sourdough bread. They also claimed the customer called the eatery and demanded a refund, saying: "You didn't ask for it, you demanded it.
