Serena Williams opened up about facing off against her older sister on the tennis court. The 42-year-old tennis pro has stepped back from competing professionally.

One of the benefits of retiring was that she and Venus would no longer be competing to win the biggest prize.

In a new interview, she explained why she disliked the competitive edge to her relationship. Keep reading to find out more… “I didn’t really like it,” Serena admitted to People. “I didn’t like to compete with your best friend.

It’s very difficult.” She added that “some people” do enjoy playing against their sibling. “Some people are like, ‘I want my sibling to go down.’ And I’m like, ‘I want her to win too,’ and so it was very difficult.
