dailyrecord.co.ukKenny McLean believes the best is yet to come from Scotland at Euro 2024 and insists they can bring their A game to sink Hungary in Stuttgart on Sunday to get out of Group A.Wednesday night's 1-1 draw with Switzerland got the Scots off the mark in the group stages after the 5-1 mauling in Munich at the hands of hosts Germany.It was a vastly improved performance and with Grant Hanley hitting the post with a close range header late on, Scotland could have been in a commanding position to qualify.As it is, they now need victory over the Hungarians to claim third place in the group and hope that is enough to ensure they finish as one of the best third-placed teams at the tournament.Reaching the knockout round would create history for Scotland and Cambuslang man McLean believes the team have more to offer in the final group game.The Norwich City midfielder said: "It was a lot better [on Wednesday], but we can get a lot better and we will get better on Sunday.
On Friday, we gave Germany too much space, too much respect and we let their best players run the game."So we’ve worked hard on the training pitch on shape and on tactics and we brought a lot of that into this game.
