A Scots pet owner has been left heartbroken after her parrot named 'Jobby' went missing. Apsi Witana, said the distinctive bright green bird took off from her property in St Helens Gardens, Glasgow, after midnight in the wee hours of Saturday, July 6.

Musician Apsi had performed at the Kelburn Festival in Largs with her band 'Brenda' and had been uploading instruments from her car and left the front door open.

Her pet parrot - which is bright green with red and blue markings on it's back, was flying around the room in the dark, before he darted for the exit, Glasgow Live reports.Apsi is now appealing for anyone who sees her beloved pet to get in touch immediately.Apsi said: "I'd just driven back after playing Kelburn with my band, Brenda, and was taking instruments in.

I had both the main and flat door open."I'm usually very vigilant about doors being shut because of this, but this time I could hear him flying around, in the dark, in the living room and instinctively opened the door so he could see some light.
