Scots actress Sharon Rooney has cancelled her appearance at the screening of the Barbie movie in Glasgow due to the Screen Actors Guild strike.
Sharon, who plays Lawyer Barbie in the much anticipated movie, was set to attend the Glasgow Film Theatre this weekend to introduce the first screening but now can no longer attend.The Glasgow Film Theatre made the announcement on Twitter, they penned: "Important update.
Due to the recently announced Screen Actors Guild strike, Sharon Rooney will not be attending the screening on 22 July. We apologise for any disappointment." The 34-year-old, who is known for her role in Two Doors Down, landed the role in the blockbuster film which stars Margot Robbie as the titular character and Ryan Gosling as Ken.
The live-action romantic comedy based on the eponymous fashion doll line by Mattel is due for release in cinemas this weekend.
