Sarah Lancashire 'quits acting' with whole new career path ahead

Sarah Lancashire could be ditching her career behind screens in a shocking twist of events after 30 years of acting. The A-list star is reportedly keen to try her arm at working behind the camera after years of being one of Britain's best-loved actresses reports the Mirror.

She first shot to fame in 1991 when she appeared as Raquel Wolstenhulme on Coronation Street, starring in the soap for five years before briefly returning in 2000.

Throughout her career, she has snagged various accolades including a BAFTA nomination this week for her role as Police Sergeant Catherine Cawood in the BBC drama Happy Valley.And whilst her work in Happy Valley is still being recognised, after bringing home awards for Best Drama Performance and Special Recognition at the 2023 National Television Awards, Sarah is seemingly keen for a change of scenery.

A source close to the actress has now told Daily Mail: "Sarah adores acting but the idea of producing had been niggling at her.
