Rylan Clark playfully warned his listeners "that's illegal" while opening up about personal "heartbreak" during his BBC Radio 2 programme.
On his weekend show 'Rylan on Saturday', the broadcaster chose the Steps hit 'One for Sorrow' to celebrate Claire Richards' birthday but found the intro of rain and thunder a bit too close to home. The nineties anthem, opening with stormy weather sounds, perfectly echoed Rylan's sentiments, as he himself mirrored the song's theme of disillusion in love.
While introducing the iconic track, Rylan shared with his audience: "It might not be raining outside but some of us have been through heartbreak darling, so it's not all about you." He couldn't help but sing along post-track, jokingly commenting: "What a tune.
Don't ruin Steps - it's illegal really to do that.", reports the Express. Remembered for his breakout on X Factor in 2012, Rylan quickly became a household name after joining Celebrity Big Brother early in 2013, later co-presenting Big Brother's Bit on the Side within the same year.
