Two men who died after a horrific crash between two lorries and a car on the M62 were senior Ryanair crew members, it has been confirmed.
Emergency services were called to the major collision on the westbound carriageway at around 5.30am yesterday (June 11). Police were forced to close the motorway throughout the day.
Two men, who were inside the car, tragically died at the scene. The driver of the car was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. READ MORE: Gavin Plumb jailed for life for Holly Willoughby kidnap, rape and murder plot Today (July 11), the men who died were named as Matt Greenhalgh, 28, and Jamie Fernandes, 24, who were Captain and Senior First Officer for Ryanair respectively.
They were travelling to Liverpool Airport in a taxi when the collision occurred at 5.31am. In a statement Cheshire Constabulary said: "The car was in collision with two lorries on the westbound carriageway between junction 8 and junction 7.
