Ryanair issues update after Manchester flight delays landing due to emergency

A Ryanair passenger was rushed to hospital moments after landing in Manchester following a medical emergency on board. Medics scrambled to Manchester Airport after Ryanair crew called for emergency help before landing.

The FR4087 flight from Faro, in Portugal, delayed its landing on Sunday evening (September 1) by around an hour while crew dealt with the incident.

In an update issued this afternoon (Monday), Ryanair confirmed the crew called for medical assistance. Medics rushed to the passenger's aid once the flight had landed.

A Ryanair spokesperson said: “The crew of this flight from Faro to Manchester (September 1) called ahead to request medical assistance after a passenger became ill during descent.
