A revised planning application for the redevelopment of a chunk of Altrincham town centre has been submitted. L&Q - formerly Trafford Housing Trust - has tabled the bid for Albert, Chapel and Lloyds Courts.
Town hall bosses say the new proposals from the housing association have been prepared and revised as a result of ongoing consultation with Trafford council, neighbours and the wider community, and now feature a design approach that better meets the needs of the area.
The revised application, designed by Project 3 Architects, shows a reduction in homes from the original designs, with 88 new properties proposed as opposed to 104 previously to allow for more open and green space.
Some 64 of these will be one- and two-bedroom apartments within two, four and five-storey blocks, and the remaining 24 homes will be two to three-storey, three-bedroom family homes.
