Vestiaire Collective, searches for vintage Jean Paul Gaultier rose by 300 per cent in the first half of this year – and the fashion house is planning to tap into this demand by catering to this growing fanbase.
The beloved fashion label will soon be renting out its extensive archive for customers to borrow, while it will also be launching a resale arm on its website, where it will sell vintage pieces.
According to Jean Paul Gaultier's managing director Antoine Gagey, the house has a "goldmine" of around 30,000 vintage treasures, which it has been taking care of for decades, and wants to share with its fanbase.
Many of the pieces come from the 1980s and 1990s, including some of the designer's most well-known designs, from the cage dresses to.
