Rangers have been told that Murrayfield is the ONLY solution to their nightmare Ibrox lockout at the start of the campaign. The Light Blues announced earlier this week that they are looking at alternative options with their home ground - which is likely to be out of action for the first month of the 2024/25 season with improvement works on the Copland Road stand running behind schedule due to an issue with the delivery of materials.
That has left Rangers chiefs with a major headache for the start of the Scottish Premiership campaign - as well as the crucial Champions League qualifiers.
A potential £60million jackpot awaits Rangers if they make the group stage - but it would be a blow for the club to miss out on a packed Ibrox for the home leg.
An SFA spokesperson said soon after that they'd be willing to get around the table to the club solve the issue - with Hampden Park suggested by some as a potential temporary accommodation.
