The SPFL have pulled the plug on the scheduled meeting to discuss the rancorous cinch sponsorship grievance with Rangers after legal advice.
All 12 top-flight sides were set to meet on November 28 but clubs were informed it has been cancelled.. The Daily Mail state the meeting was kiboshed after Ibrox director Graeme Park planned to attend as a representative of Park's of Hamilton - the sponsors at the heart of the ongoing battle against league sponsors cinch.
Rangers were excused from promoting the league sponsors in June as the second-hand car specialists brokered a revised agreement with the SPFL which excluded the Ibrox side.
But recriminations have remained and Rangers managing director Stewart Robertson warned the SPFL clubs last month over soaring legal costs which could rise close to seven figures if the Ibrox side extract an apology from the league over the long-running sponsorship spat. Record Sport revealed in September Rangers didn't support the revamped TV agreement as they sought an apology from the SPFL and wanted the league to pick up their legal tabs over the dispute with cinch.
