Motherwell and Scotland icon Tom Forysth as he made his final journey through his home town. The no-nonsense defender, nicknamed Jaws, passed away last Friday at the age of 71.His funeral cortege passed through Stonehouse at 10:30am as the former Scotland international's coffin made its way to South Lanarkshire Crematorium for a private family service.Fans applauded as the procession made its way along the high street.
Forsyth began his career at local junior side at Stonehouse Violet before he was signed by Motherwell boss Bobby Hewitt in 1967 and he starred at Fir Park for five years.
After 150 games for the Steelmen he was snapped up by Rangers in 1972 and Forsyth went on to become a club legend at Ibrox winning two Trebles with the club.
