Radio 2 listeners were left in tears as Steve Wright's Sunday Love Songs made a return, just days after the DJ's sudden death at the age of 69.The news of Steve's death came as shock to fans and friends alike.This Sunday saw a return of his Sunday Love Songs, hosted by his pal Liza Tarbuck.
She encouraged fans to share their memories of Steve, including any dedications he'd made on his show for special occasions like weddings or birthdays.
An emotional Liza began the show by saying: "Good morning to you we are live in Wogan House.This is Steve Wright's Sunday Love Songs without the chief...
without our genius friend. "So while you're getting a tissue I think it would be lovely if you lit him a candle." She added: "I make no apologies if I get upset during the next two hours and you shouldn't either," promising to play only Steve's favourite tracks and to fill the show with messages from listeners about the radio legend.
