Princess Anne breaks cover in first public engagement following injury from horse

Princess Anne has commenced her first public engagement since suffering concussion in a horse-related accident, where she was admitted to hospital for five nights.The 73-year-old Royal is believed to have been stuck by a horse during the incident last month, on June 23, whilst out walking.It is understood the visit to the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) National Championships at Hartpury University and Hartpury College in Gloucestershire is the first step in a phased return to public duties as Anne recovers from concussion.The association is celebrating its 55th anniversary this year and the princess has a long involvement with the organisation.

Anne became patron in 1971 and president in 1986.On arrival, the senior royal was met by the association’s chairwoman Helena Vega Lozano and chief executive Michael Bishop.
