Greater Manchester Police has issued an update on the men arrested at Manchester Airport after a video emerged appearing to show a police officer kicking and stamping on a man's head as he lay on the ground.

The incident on July 23 sparked a number of protests across our region. But a number of public figures, and those involved in the incident themselves, have appealed for 'calm'.

Today (August 2), the force has addressed 'speculation' swirling in the wake of the high profile case. Police say that all four men arrested during the scenes seen on video remain on police bail, with a live investigation 'very much ongoing'.
