Images of five people who officers want to speak to regarding a 'disorder' outside a police station have been issued. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they are investigating 'an outbreak of disorder' which took place outside Rochdale police station in the town centre on Thursday, July 25.

And they are 'seeking to identify' five individuals. No further details regarding the incident have been released by the force.

The Manchester Evening News understands the investigation is linked to protests which took place in the town after a video surfaced in which a GMP officer appeared to kick and stamp on a man's head.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is investigating that incident with the watchdog confirming yesterday that two officers are now under criminal investigation for alleged assault after violence erupted at Terminal 2.
