Billy Connolly makes heartbreaking admission about death amid Parkinson's battle

Comedy legend Sir Billy Connolly has been a source of laughter for over five decades. However, In a heartfelt new interview, the Big Yin opened up about finding humour in the face of mortality, having accepted his ongoing fight with Parkinson's disease.

His life was dramatically changed in 2013 when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer which he later beat and Parkinson's on the very same day.

Ever the comedian, Connolly managed to find light in the darkness. "Yes, it was a funny week I had," he recalls with a laugh. "On the Monday, I had hearing aids.

On the Tuesday I got pills for heart burn, which I have to take all the time, and on the Wednesday I got news that I had prostate cancer and Parkinson's," he told the Mirror.
