Police issue travel advice for day of Queen's funeral with trams set to pause

Trams in Greater Manchester will pause on Monday as the Queen's state funeral is held. Greater Manchester Police has issued travel advice ahead of the official service, which will take place at 11am at Westminster Abbey in London.

The force has warned people to expect trains to be 'exceptionally-busy' between now and Monday as people make their way to the capital.

Police also said that Metrolink services and buses will operate to a Sunday timetable on the national Bank Holiday and minutes' silences will be held on public transport on both Sunday and Monday.
