Phillip Schofield has been dealt another devastating blow to his television career after he was scrapped from hosting another project.

It follows his exit from ITV amid the 61-year-olds affair scandal which sent shockwaves through the industry. The former This Morning presenter was known as one of the most famous faces on TV with a career spanning more than 30 years usually alongside co-star and former friend Holly Willoughby before he admitted to the “unwise but not illegal” affair with a much younger male colleague.Despite the fling being consensual and Phil shutting down accusations he had "groomed" the showrunner, Phillip stepped down from his job and cut ties with ITV and his agents as he stepped away from public scrutiny. This meant he left a string of high-profile jobs behind as one of the most notable faces on television, including no longer presenting ITV shows like The Cube or The British Soap Awards, which he had hosted since 2006.

He also stepped down from presenting Dancing on Ice at the BBC with This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby, who he is reportedly no longer pals with, reports the Mirror.Phillip sat down for a 'tell-all' interview earlier this year in June with the BBC where he admitted he brought about his own downfall and believed his TV career was now over.

He told interviewer Amol Rajan: “I have brought myself down. I am done. I have to talk about television in the past tense, which breaks my heart.”And now he has been quietly axed from The Cube Live attraction in Manchester, which opened in February, and featured Phillip in promotional welcome videos as he was the former host of the popular ITV gameshow.
