Police are probing the 'petrol bombing' of a Glasgow snack bar after two masked suspects were allegedly caught on camera. The Snack Shack in Anniesland Industrial Estate was torched shortly before 4am on Sunday.
Police have confirmed they are treating the blaze as deliberate as sources say investigators recovered a jerry can from the scene.A source close to the business claimed the snack bar had been doused with petrol, and ignited before the hooded culprits fled the scene on foot.
They told the Record: “The portakabin has been completely destroyed by the fire. There were two gas canisters inside so it’s extremely lucky that they didn’t explode.“It sits right by six other businesses so if the fire had spread, it would have been absolutely devastating for the other owners.“CCTV caught two men with a jerry can pouring petrol on it before they started the fire.
They looked like they got a hell of a fright when it went up though.“I don’t think they quite knew what to expect when you play with petrol and fire.
