Love Island's Abi branded 'bitter' over 'gaslighting' comments about Mitch

As the Love Island contestants gathered for a final reunion to mark the conclusion of the 10th nail biting season of the ITV2 dating show, viewers at home couldn’t help but feel the tension brewing when Abi Moores came face to face with former flame Mitch Taylor.

The Islander duo had previously been coupled up, before Mitch moved on to find love with newcomer Ella Barnes, much to the displeasure of Abi who boldly declared that she felt she had far better chemistry with Mitch than Ella B, the girl he ultimately ended up with.

As Abi revealed her surprising viewpoint during the reunion show, an aghast Ella couldn’t help but look on in disapproval, before candidly replying: “I just think that’s screaming bitter to me.” Unfazed by the defensiveness of her love rival, Abi then responded by replying: “Well that’s just my personal opinion.” She then continued: “All I’ll say now, is that after being gaslit by a gas engineer, I would never go back there.” As the crowd cheered and hollered at the witty jibe, host Sam Thompson couldn’t help but take a moment to revel in the drama of the situation as he waited for tensions to slowly simmer down.

Sam then took a moment to ask Mitch if he had anything to say in response to the statements made by Abi, to which the Sheffield born star cooly replied: “It kind of fell on deaf ears, I can’t lie.
