Paisley musician hopes to use Edinburgh Fringe as a career catapult

The Edinburgh Fringe is a breeding ground for huge names – and a Paisley Buddie is hoping to be the next big thing. Stars such as Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson and Dame Judi Dench all got their big breaks at the iconic Scottish festival.Every August, hundreds of thousands flock to watch new exciting shows as well as big returning names.

One person looking to make it their year is Ciaran Whyte from Paisley. Ciaran is a musician aiming to shine a light on the world of Scottish Comedy Music.

He debuted at the Fringe last year, saying it was a “time to remember”. After starting with less than 20 people watching, he was selling out shows by the end of the month.
