Sean 'Diddy' Combs has reportedly been relocated to another part of a prison in New York City for 'special protection'. The music mogul, who was arrested last week in NYC, is currently housed in Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn - a facility notorious for its violent reputation.

According to sources, this is the same unit where convicted cryptocurrency fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried is being held. The unit where Diddy is being kept is said to be a barracks-style area that accommodates 18 to 20 inmates who require enhanced protection, such as high-profile defendants and those cooperating with investigations.

While described as part of the general population, the section has heightened security measures. The 54-year-old was taken into custody by Homeland Security Investigations agents on September 16 and indicted the following day on serious charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution.

Despite pleading not guilty, he has been denied bail twice. The Mirror reached out to Diddy's representatives for comment, while a spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons told NBC News: "For privacy, safety, and security reasons, the [FBOP] does not provide information about conditions of confinement, including housing assignments or internal security practices for any particular incarcerated individual." Reports suggest that Diddy has not received any special privileges during his time at the facility.
