Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been slammed for his display in Norway’s stalemate with Kazakhstan. Haaland has been on fire for Pep Guardiola’s side, with the City forward netting two hat-tricks in the first three league games of the new season.
Despite being clinical in the Premier League, the 24-year-old was unable to transfer his form to the international stage. Haaland linked up with the Norway squad and started the country’s Nations League opener on Friday night, away in Kazakhstan.
Norway dominated the ball, commanding 70% possession, but didn’t make it count, with Haaland bearing the brunt of the blame after the team registered only two shots on target in a 0-0 draw.
