Nicole Kidman officially confirmed that she and Sandra Bullock are returning for a “Practical Magic” sequel. The “Big Little Lies” actress gushed over the project ahead of the premiere of her upcoming Netflix film with Zac Efron and Joey King, “A Family Affair.”“Yes I will be in it.

And that’s that,” Kidman, 56, told People. “There’s a lot more to tell which is why we go, ‘OK, this is kind of interesting now to be able to do this.'”She added: “[We] found a way in.”Kidman and Bullock, 59, played sisters Gillian and Sally Owens, respectively, in the 1998 dramatic comedy, which was directed by Griffin Dune and based off Alice Hoffman’s 1995 book of the same name.It tells the story of two witches raised by their eccentric aunts (Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest), as a curse threatens them from finding lasting love.Akiva Goldsman, the writer behind “A Beautiful Mind,” has been tapped to write the screenplay. The movie celebrated its 25th anniversary in October 2023.“It’s kind of become a cult movie.

And I think it’s a movie that really matters to people,” Hoffman exclusively told the Post at the time. “When that book came out and the film came out, really, there wasn’t such an openness to magic, especially women in their respective roles.

So it wasn’t considered literature. People heard that and weren’t as welcoming as they might be.”“I think that has really changed now, and I think magic is everywhere.
