She rose to fame in 1990 after signing to Columbia Records and releasing her eponymous debut album, which topped the U.S. Billboard 200 for eleven consecutive weeks. Nick went on to joke that “nothing can infiltrate” Mariah‘s “Mano of Carey,” and she constantly has to remind him to bring “none of that bulls–t” home. “When we talk daily, she’s just checking in on my spirit,” Nick said, adding that Mariah does nothing but “encourage” him, even when he’s criticized and judged by the public. “She’s like, ‘Yo, let’s make sure we’re on the same page every day so when some bulls-–t comes up, we know that it ain’t true,” Nick said. Nick also recently addressed claims that he “fumbled” his marriage to Mariah.
